Business Communications Taranaki Ltd was formed in 1997 by Jim Sklenars, Gary Bovett and their partners after the demise of Telecom Business Systems in Taranaki.

Jim and Gary continue to contract for Telecom NZ in servicing phone systems for its key account customers such as Shell Todd Oil Services, Fonterra and Methanex as well as assisting with Telecom's data network, specializing in front line support of Cisco product including recent significant involvement in the installation of Cisco voice over ip network for Contact Energy.

Since 1997 Business Communications Taranaki has grown to the extent that it now has a large number of its own clients throughout Taranaki.

Two further technicians have since joined the company which combined with assistance from other locally based contractors, forms a strong experienced support team.

At the end of 2003, an office manager was taken on to assist with the development of secure systems and work practices, in keeping with

BCT's continuing policy to provide good locally based service to it's customers and since then BCT has moved to new premises on 261 Devon Street West.
